Compensation: $38.33 - $42.16/hr
Schedule: 40 hours /week

  • In this context, the CM Expert at client defines, improves and executes configuration management processes within the team in three primary domains: change management (including customer communication), requirements engineering, and product configuration, definition & Bill of Materials management.

What You'll Do:
  • These domains also include related tooling and support for various user groups.
  • CM Expert enables client to safeguard the consistency and integrity of all configuration baselines of our products by defining and providing CM capabilities.
  • In doing so, CM empowers client to know the exact configuration of our products at any given moment to pro-actively and re-actively communicate and respond to customers.
  • CM expert empowers the client design community to properly capture the needs of customers & stakeholders and translate those into requirements that determine the functionality and performance that should be in client products, while capturing knowledge and supporting business continuity.
  • CM expert empowers the client design community to specify the hardware & software that must be integrated and assembled in client factories in order to deliver the required performance and functionality to customers.
  • Failure of these empowerments leads to unknown & unwanted configurations which can lead to unexpected behavior or unplanned machine down-time, high costs for client and harms client's credibility as market leader.
  • The CM Expert role has a global client focus, serving all client business lines, sectors and locations.
  • Responsibilities Stakeholder Management & Interfaces Proactively engage with relevant stakeholders in- and outside own team (e.g., CM architect, CM process key users, and others); ensure compliance and contribute to improvement projects.
  • Domain Intervention Independently execute CM processes; proactively suggest improvements based on user needs and participate in projects.
  • Process Contribute to process design and verification independently; join projects for new processes and improvements.
  • Tools & Applications Write requirements for improvements; validate solutions with end users and participate in tool (improvement) projects.
  • Metrics/KPI Report KPI trends; contribute to projects improving metrics and dashboards.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in PLM and ERP systems (myChange, SAP) in the area of Change Management, Engineering, Production or Materials Management.
  • 3+ years of experience in least one Configuration Management domain.
  • 3+ years of experience in business process improvement, preferably in configuration management or in systems engineering in a product/process development context.
