Job Summary:

TheOffice Facility G&A Day Porter is responsible for supporting the daily appearance, functionality, and overall upkeep of the office environment. This role ensures that shared spaces remain clean, organized, stocked, and operational throughout the workday, while providing light facilities support as needed. The ideal candidate is proactive, service-oriented, detail-focused, and capable of maintaining a professional atmosphere for employees, guests, and vendors.

Reporting to: Sr. Manager, Corporate Facilities & Services
Location: Newark, CA - onsite
Salary range: $21.00 - $25.00/hour + annual performance bonus

* the final salary offered will depend upon factors that may include but are not limited to the quality and length of experience, education and geographic location.


Responsibilities/Essential Duties:



  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the office common areas, breakrooms, conference rooms, copy rooms, kitchens, wellness spaces, and shared workspaces.
  • Perform routine walkthroughs of the office to identify and address cleanliness, safety, or maintenance concerns.
  • Assist with light facility maintenance tasks including:

    • Replacing light bulbs
    • Adjusting furniture layouts
    • Minor repairs and touch-ups
    • Reporting larger maintenance issues to Sr. Manager, Corporate Facilities & Services Sr. Manager
    • Assisting vendors and service providers while onsite


  • Support office moves, meeting setups, event preparation, and furniture adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure conference rooms and collaboration spaces are reset and presentation-ready throughout the day.
  • Pantry, Snack & Beverage Management:

    • Restock office snacks, beverages, coffee stations, and pantry supplies daily
    • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs
    • Organize Pantry and storage areas to maintain cleanliness and operational efficiency
    • Ensure refrigerators, microwaves, coffee machines, and kitchen equipment remain clean and functional


  • Cleaning & Day Porter Duties:

    • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in high-traffic areas during business hours
    • Respond promptly to spills, trash removal needs, and general office appearance concerns
    • Refresh/restock restrooms throughout the day by replenishing supplies and ensuring cleanliness
    • Empty trash and recycling bins as needed
    • Assist with maintaining GMP or office cleanliness standards where applicable




Basic Qualifications:



  • Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Open availability and flexibility to work occasional overtime, holidays, or adjusted schedules.
  • Physically able to perform cleaning tasks during the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and carry a 12 lb. backpack vacuum as needed.
  • Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, and crouching.
  • Maintain good personal hygiene and professional appearance.

  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Proficiency in English strongly encouraged to ensure effective communication with team and clients.
