Yard Worker/Forklift Operator

Location: Idaho Falls, ID Yard

As a Yard Worker, you will help maintain the flow of materials throughout our yard while delivering excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include:

• Assist customers with locating, retrieving, and loading building materials.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move products throughout the yard.
• Verify materials against invoices and customer orders to ensure accuracy.
• Organize and stock inventory to maintain a safe, efficient, and customer-ready environment.
• Perform routine yard maintenance and housekeeping to keep the facility clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety standards and actively contribute to a culture of safety.
• Participate in ongoing safety meetings and training programs.
• Support team members with additional responsibilities as needed.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of related experience in lumber, building materials, warehouse, yard operations, or a similar environment preferred.
• OSHA Forklift Certification required or ability to obtain certification as required by the location.
• Ability to read and understand invoices, work orders, and other documents.

• Work is performed primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to changing weather conditions, equipment noise, and dust.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to climb into and out of forklift equipment and operate controls safely.
