Position Summary Arts & Science is seeking a talented Lab Demonstration Administrator to join the Department of Chemistry. This individual will provide administrative and technical support to the Chemistry Department, specifically the teaching laboratories. Prepares the labs for the many chemistry courses, including General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry etc. Demonstrates and teaches students proper use of equipment, and chemical storage, use and care. Manages safe handling and disposal of chemical waste. Oversees the set-up of teaching labs for daily experiments; ensure cleanliness, sufficient supplies and chemicals during daily laboratory sessions. Oversees the preparation of solutions, reagents and unknowns for laboratory experiments and instruction (e.g., review handouts and procedures for accuracy; recommend alternative compositions). Manages inventory records, facilities management requests, and safety training records. Assists the lab manager and department leadership in future laboratory expansion needs. Qualifications Required Education: Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $75,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
