Key Responsibilities

As a Roll-Off Driver, you will:




  • Safely operate roll-off trucks and related equipment



  • Deliver, pick up, and empty large containers for commercial customers



  • Secure containers using hooks, straps, and tarps as needed



  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT and company standards



  • Complete daily DVIR and safety lane documentation



  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle



  • Operate compaction and lifting equipment safely and efficiently



  • Provide courteous, professional customer service at all times



  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, supervisors, and team members




Qualifications
Requirements:


  • Valid Class A or Class B CDL



  • Clean Driving Record



  • Minimum 21 Years of Age



  • Previous Roll-Off or Commercial Driving Experience Preferred



  • Ability to understand DOT regulations and safe driving practices



  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English



  • Ability to complete paperwork and maintain accurate service records



  • Ability to safely perform physical job duties and inspections

  • Support team operations and perform additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

To successfully perform this role, employees must be able to:



  • Push and pull up to 50 pounds independently throughout the workday
  • Lift up to 50 pounds independently from ground level to waist height on a frequent basis
  • Safely enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle multiple times per shift
  • Lift up to 100 pounds with assistance when required
  • Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, and twist throughout the workday
  • Reach overhead and secure tarps using a tarp pole and moderate pulling force
  • Climb up to 8 feet to deploy and secure tarping equipment
  • Work extended shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours
  • Perform duties in varying outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and other environmental elements


Work Environment

This position regularly works outdoors and may be exposed to:



  • Extreme weather and temperature conditions
  • Vehicle vibrations and elevated noise levels
  • Dust, fumes, odors, and other environmental conditions associated with waste and recycling operations
