As a Security Officer Patrol Access Specialist in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage incidents. You will support access awareness, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with the public and staff. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location serving the public.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, provide directions to visitors, residents, staff, and/or vendors, and report suspicious behavior or unauthorized access attempts.
• Support a professional environment by interacting respectfully with individuals on site, following post orders, and escalating security-related concerns to supervisors and/or appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
