Job Summary
The Staff Analyst is responsible for supporting operational efficiency and strategic decision-making through data collection, analysis, and reporting. This role develops and maintains dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and analytical reports to support leadership within capital projects and systems operations. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights using Microsoft 365 tools and business intelligence platforms. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working with executive-level stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and KPI reporting tools using Power BI
  • Identify trends, process bottlenecks, and performance issues to support proactive improvements
  • Develop reports, charts, graphs, and tables for presentations and leadership communications
  • Retrieve, clean, merge, and format data from multiple sources for analysis and reporting
  • Perform advanced Excel analysis including pivot tables, formulas, and data modeling
  • Maintain and update data files to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility
  • Support executive and management reporting needs with timely and accurate analytics
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and improve data processes
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting platforms and systems


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, data analytics, or a closely related field with 2 years of experience; OR
  • Master's degree in a related field with 1 year of experience
  • Strong experience working with data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence tools preferred
  • Experience supporting executive-level stakeholders with data-driven reporting preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
  • Experience with Power BI dashboard development required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Forms
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and collaboratively


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, data analytics, or closely related field required
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred


Work Experience



  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in data analysis, reporting, or related analytical work preferred
  • Experience supporting reporting, dashboards, or KPI tracking in a business or public sector environment preferred
