Business Analyst - ServiceMax / FieldFX / Atlas Transition

Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst to play a critical role in transitioning multiple departments from our home-grown operations platform, to ServiceMax and FieldFX Mobile. This position requires strong analytical skills and excellent communication. You will work with Operations, Quality, and Business Intelligence (BI) to define requirements, streamline project workflows, and improve the end-to-end service delivery process. You help the company strengthen project management, billing accuracy, field productivity, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements and Process



  • Engage with stakeholders to understand and document business requirements for ServiceMax and FieldFX Mobile.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and sprint planning sessions to ensure shared understanding of product goals.
  • Map current Atlas workflows and identify gaps.
  • Translate operational needs into simple, actionable system changes through clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Build clear process documentation for scheduling, job creation, field work, time entry, billing, and closeout.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives).
  • Partner with Development Managers to define product roadmaps and prioritize features based on business value and customer impact.
  • Work closely with development and QA teams to clarify requirements and ensure alignment throughout the development lifecycle.



System and Data Transition:



  • Support the migration from ATLAS to ServiceMax, including process mapping, data validation, and user onboarding.
  • Define data migration rules from Atlas.
  • Validate migrated data with Operations and BI.
  • Support configuration, testing, rollout, and documentation of new modules.
  • Track defects and partner with technical teams on fixes.



Project Management Support:



  • Improve the end-to-end lifecycle for jobs and projects.
  • Standardize templates, checklists, and handoffs.
  • Reduce rework, missed steps, and billing delays.
  • Support training plans and job aids for field and back-office users.



Stakeholder Engagement:



  • Lead working sessions with Operations, Lab, Scheduling, and Finance.
  • Communicate changes in simple, direct language.
  • Gather feedback and close gaps quickly.
  • Support leadership with updates and status reporting.



Quality and Client Experience:



  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that product features meet business needs.
  • Identify process failures that affect client deadlines.
  • Recommend system or workflow changes to prevent errors.
  • Support consistent application of quality and compliance requirements.
  • Enable visibility into job status, milestones, and risks.



Skills and Experience:



  • 3-5+ years as a Business Analyst in software development or enterprise applications.
  • Experience with ServiceMax and/or FieldFX Mobile preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).Strong process mapping and workflow design ability.
  • Proven ability to translate complex end-user requirements into actionable technical specifications.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (development, QA, operations, business units).
  • Exposure to data governance, master data management, and security/compliance frameworks preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction, field services, or environmental services and ERP/CRM systems.
  • Experience supporting data migration or system transitions.
  • Clear communicator with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing, private-equity-backed company.
  • Some travel required
