This position will serve as a mentor and trainer for managers who are new in role and/or new to the District and may also serve as a temporary manager where there is a need for temporary store coverage to ensure continuity in service and support of the store's customers. The successful candidate for this role will be an experienced Store Manager or former Store Manager with a record of results in sales and service, a strong operational knowledge and a track record of successful leadership and development of store teams.
This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the general public.

  • Provide training, mentoring and support to new Store Managers
  • Contribute to creation of templates, processes and tools within the District
  • Support Talent Acquisition activities, including participating in recruiting events, interviewing candidates, etc.
  • Complete bi-weekly Time and Attendance reports for assigned District(s) and track vacation, holidays and disability time as needed
  • Serve as a temporary store manager including performing all duties as store manager
  • Develop business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability
  • Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to store employees
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Build and maintain knowledge of all products to ensure effective customer recommendations
  • Build positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers
  • Complete store administration
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards, including promotional packages and sales floor displays
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting as required
  • Manage employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
  • Respond to and resolve any customer and/or employee complaints
  • Partner with Sales Reps to make outside sales calls to increase market share

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • Must have at least a High School diploma or GED
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams
  • Must have at least three (3) years of experience working as a Store Manager in a Sherwin-Williams retail store
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • Have work experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management ("CRM") systems
  • Have an associate's degree or higher in business, sales, or marketing
  • Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
