Job Summary:

This position combines estimating and project management responsibilities, including preparing bids through plan and specification review, coordinating contracts and bid requirements, assisting with project budgeting, and managing the planning and execution of construction projects.

This positon may be based in Fort Collins, CO or Cheyenne, WY.

Main Responsibilities:

* Embrace the Company's safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Simon Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
* Support, promote, and practice the Company's core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies

Project Management:
* Oversee project planning and coordination, including resource allocation, scheduling, utility locates, material delivery, and traffic control requirements
* Lead communication and coordination with project personnel, subcontractors, engineers, inspectors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met
* Prepare, maintain, and manage all project documentation such as schedules, subcontracts, purchase orders, and material orders
* Oversee material delivery, utility locates, traffic control requirements, and compliance with OSHA, EPA, DNR, and all safety/environmental regulations
* Conduct project meetings and provide ongoing project updates to management
* Monitor project costs and identify trends that support costreduction and processimprovement efforts
* Assist with determining equipment needs, sequencing operations, and staffing requirements
* Support development and performance management of assigned employees through training, mentoring, and coaching
* Safely operate company vehicles/equipment and perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Estimating:
* Prepare detailed project cost estimates using bid software, including quantity takeoffs and analysis of production rates, phasing, and haul routes
* Review and interpret plans, proposals, preliminary drawings, and specifications to support accurate estimating
* Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes
* Conduct site visits to collect information related to utilities, services, and project conditions
* Prepare bid forms, projectcost summaries, and related contract documentation
* Maintain estimating documentation, including subcontracts, purchase orders, and schedules
* Identify cost trends to support management in costreduction and processimprovement initiatives

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred
* Valid Driver's License and clean driving history required

Skills:

* 3+ years of progressive experience in construction operations, project management/estimating or related role preferred
* Background in heavy highway, municipal, and/or commercial construction preferred
* HCSS, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam and/or similar program experience preferred
* Proficiency in use of computers and mobile devices, including MS Office programs required

Physical Requirements:

* Wears and maintains required PPE (personal protective equipment) to ensure safe performance of job responsibilities as required
* Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds with or without assistance to handle documents, equipment, and materials needed to support office and field related operations
* Regularly uses hands to feel, handle, and manipulate objects, write, and operate a keyboard and/or mobile device to complete administrative tasks, documentation, and communication duties
* Regularly communicates (talks and hears) and uses visual acuity to exchange information, coordinate work, and review documents and plans necessary for project oversight
* Regularly operates a vehicle to travel to and from work sites to perform inspections, attend meetings, and support project activities
* Regularly sits for long periods at a desk using a computer to perform administrative, planning, and reporting responsibilities
* Frequently stands or works on feet for extended periods and walks across uneven terrain to navigate construction sites safely
* Frequently stands, walks, sits, reaches, and stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls to access work areas and complete required tasks
* Frequently works in environments that may include loud noise, moving equipment, dust, or varying indoor/outdoor conditions depending on operational needs
* Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and overtime; overnight travel may be required

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation*: $100,000.00-$140,000.00 DOE

*Estimated target starting compensation; actual compensation to be determined based on assessment of an individual's qualifications, education, and experience relevant to the role.

Benefits: All full-time hourly employees are eligible to participate in Simon benefits as defined in plan documents.
