Senior Editor, Washington National Tax (WNT)

RSM is seeking a Senior Editor to support our Washington National Tax (WNT) team. This role will focus on developing and executing thought leadership and editorial content that enhances RSM's presence in the market. You will partner closely with senior leaders to translate complex tax and policy topics into clear, compelling insights while driving consistency, quality, and cadence across WNT content.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of thought leadership and editorial content for WNT
  • Write, edit, and publish articles, white papers, research reports, and other market-facing content
  • Partner with senior leaders to translate complex technical topics into clear, client-ready messaging
  • Establish and maintain editorial standards and processes to ensure consistency and quality
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, and Business Development to align content with firm priorities
  • Manage content development timelines and coordinate across internal stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Support external positioning efforts in partnership with Public Relations
  • Identify opportunities to enhance content creation, including use of emerging tools and technologies

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in content development, communications, journalism, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, English, public relations, journalism, marketing or related field OR a combination of related education and experience
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex topics
  • Experience developing thought leadership and executive-level content
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence senior stakeholders
  • Familiarity with tax, accounting, or regulatory topics
  • Experience within a professional services environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with technical subject matter experts
  • Experience using generative AI tools to support content development

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $102,800 - $176,000

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
