What to Expect
Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the scaling of our operations and product range. You will work closely with Product Integration, Design Engineering, Quality, among other internal cross-functional teams, to guide vehicles from initial concept through design milestones, and into full-scale production, while collaborating with external vendors and technology partners on process and equipment development.

What You'll Do
  • Interface with Engineering stakeholders to review product designs for manufacturing feasibility in vehicle assembly
  • Conduct detailed assessments and critical Design for Manufacture (DFM) reviews of product, process, and tooling designs including GD&T analyses, tool clearance and human ergonomics, that shape the design of the product
  • Coordinate process testing and validation; through virtual builds during the early stages of development and at full-scale during product launch
  • Develop process documentation, including Process Sheets, product requirements for equipment specification, request for quotation (RFQ), PFMEAs and Quality Control Plans
  • Provide GA (Geometric Assessment) impact/cost analysis for design changes or alternative directions, assess in-house manufacturing capabilities and implement where justified
  • Leverage Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) to reduce costs and enhance quality/throughput
  • Factory design including layout, line balance, capacity simulations, part presentation, manufacturing operating systems

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Related experience working in a technology-based industry, where automated assembly techniques are utilized in high-volume assembly processes
  • Thrive under pressure while balancing competing priorities and deadlines
  • Maintain engagement, proactiveness, and positivity in challenging situations, with full accountability for outcomes
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities, assignments, and information
  • Analytical mindset to synthesize information, think abstractly, and simplify complex ideas
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc (MS Office suite)
  • 2D/3D modeling software (CATIA, 3DEXPERIENCE, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Navisworks)
  • Knowledge of automated equipment systems and tools - robotic, vision, material handling, Conveyors, PLC, HMI, etc.
