Job Description:

The Manufacturing Technician 2 assembles and tests small, high-precision probe products within defined quality, cost, and cycle-time requirements. This role performs a range of electro-mechanical and microelectronics assembly operations on probe tips and related components, applying established job skills, company policies, and procedures to complete assigned tasks. The Technician II is expected to multitask, support multiple processes simultaneously, and maintain a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform probe tip attach, lapping, grinding, planarity and force measurement, RC testing, and final Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) inspection.

  • Perform all technical duties of Manufacturing / Assembly Technician I as required.

  • Assemble microelectronics components using epoxy and UV curing processes.

  • Operate grinding equipment to flatten coax assemblies and meet customer specifications.

  • Perform assembly and functional testing of high-frequency probe tips.

  • Solder very small, high-frequency coaxial components under microscope.

  • Conduct incoming and outgoing inspection of parts, materials, and coupons.

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant production documentation and travelers.

  • Identify, escalate, and communicate quality or production issues, constraints, or bottlenecks to leads or supervisors.

  • Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization efforts.

  • Collect, organize, and evaluate Statistical Process Control (SPC) data.

  • Follow all security, safety, EHS, and quality procedures for work performed.

Work Environment:

  • Required to sit and perform microscope-based work approximately 75% of the time.

  • Perform detailed visual inspections and precision tool operations, either manual or automated.

  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and protective eyewear.

  • Ability to learn, follow, and consistently apply safety procedures.

  • Lift, push, and pull up to 10-15 lbs (boxes, carts, materials).

  • Walk long distances across the manufacturing floor as needed.

  • Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and fine-motor movements.

  • Work with hazardous materials and chemicals while adhering to all safety protocols.

Pay Range:

$18.80 - $24.68

Pay Range Explained:

This role in Beaverton, Oregon pays between $18.80 and $24.68 per hour, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations. We offer a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), and paid time off. You'll also be eligible for quarterly profit-sharing bonuses and flexible spending or savings accounts.
