Overview

The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying that aerospace components and special processes meet all customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements. This role ensures product conformity through in-process and final inspection, supporting compliance with industry standards and maintaining traceability throughout production.

Salary: $24- $30/hr DOE



Responsibilities

    Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components.
  • Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators).
  • Review and validate certifications, travelers, and process documentation.
  • Identify and document nonconformances; initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure full traceability of parts, materials, and processes.
  • Support audits (internal, customer, and regulatory), including NADCAP audits.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.


Skills / Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
  • 2-5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or special processing quality inspection.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, and aerospace specifications.
  • Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100.
  • Experience working in regulated environments with strict documentation control.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a NADCAP-accredited facility.
  • Certification in inspection or quality (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).

Skills & Competencies:

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools and basic computer systems.
