Overview

The Dynamics Technician II performs test setup, execution, data processing, and lab support activities within the Dynamics department. This role supports testing involving motion, force, vibration, shock, and other dynamics-related conditions in accordance with customer requirements, test standards, statements of work, and approved test plans or procedures.

The Dynamics Technician II works under general supervision and is expected to perform recurring work independently, support intermediate technical and mechanical procedures, interact with customers as needed, and troubleshoot standard test setups or issues.

Salary: $25- $35/hr DOE



Responsibilities

    Review technical documents, including test standards, customer statements of work, test plans, and procedures, to understand test requirements.
  • Identify, prepare, and set up required test equipment, fixtures, instrumentation, and support equipment.
  • Perform Dynamics testing in accordance with applicable specifications, procedures, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor tests during execution and document all required observations, conditions, and data.
  • Interact with customers during testing as needed to support communication, test execution, and issue resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and rework standard test setups or recurring test issues.
  • Verify, review, process, and document test data following completion of testing.
  • Finalize data packages and provide required information to the Program Manager.
  • Remove test items and complete post-test breakdown activities.
  • Maintain the lab by cleaning equipment, organizing supplies, and keeping work areas orderly.
  • Support calibration awareness by ensuring calibrated instruments are current and properly identified before use.
  • Follow all applicable safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Skills / Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree preferred.
  • 2 to 6 years of relevant technical, mechanical, laboratory, or Dynamics testing experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and Dynamics principles.
  • Working knowledge of basic safety practices.
  • Basic understanding of AC/DC circuits.
  • Ability to complete intermediate technical and mechanical procedures.
  • Ability to use standard Dynamics test equipment.
  • Ability to accurately capture, review, and communicate necessary test data.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and rework standard tests.
  • Intermediate ability to interpret and analyze test results.
  • Regular customer interaction skills, including clear communication and professional conduct.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation discipline.
