Finance Director - Electromagnetics Clutches & Brakes (ECB)

Scope of Role

The Electromagnetics Clutches & Brakes (ECB) BU Financial Director is part of the Cutches & Brakes Division (C&B) within the Industrial Powertrain Solution (IPS) Segment and will be based out of Regal Rexnord's headquarters in Milwaukee, WI. This role is responsible for financial management and controlling at our ECB sites situated throughout North America, Europe & Asia, along with being a key business partner to the operational teams. This position will oversee strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial close, financial analysis and drive profitable growth for the business. This critical leadership role drives clear expectations, accountability, and results across the business unit. This role will report directly to the VP/GM of the Electromagnetics Business Unit with a dotted line to the Senior Director of Finance for C&B.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key business partner to the ECB VP/GM, partnering with the leadership to develop the best path to profitable growth and sound business decisions
  • Financial responsibility for sub-consolidation of ECB business unit.
  • Manage and oversee financial team consisting of Plant Controllers and FP&A Analysts.
  • Ownership of annual budget process to set direction and deliver a clear path to the financial objectives of ECB. Partner to optimize the cost structure and drive productivity within the BU.
  • Summarize and present financial results and key sales and cost drivers as required.
  • Partner and align with the central commercial team on funnel buildout, pricing and demand forecasting
  • Lead variance analysis to key benchmarks (budget, forecast, prior year, etc.) and clearly communicate key assumptions/inputs to plant leadership to ensure achievement of performance objectives.
  • Provide educated, insightful commentary to Leadership at the end of the period.
  • Develop and deploy key operational metrics and analysis to support daily management of the business while proactively managing costs and working capital to drive sustainable improvement.
  • Make assessments and recommendations based on regular review/analysis to site leadership.
  • Partner with operations to support make/buy decisions, capital investments, inventory management, ad hoc analysis, and other needs.
  • Lead Site/Business unit level inventory standard costing and margin analysis activities, including managing the annual standards roll.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis/special projects to assist team in understanding business performance & offer solutions to improve performance.
  • Ensures application and compliance with Regal Rexnord policies and procedures, US GAAP, IFRS accounting and compliance rules and laws
  • Partner with the transformation team on any integrations and/or footprint optimization activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and reduce cycle time in various reoccurring financial processes through the increased utilization of technology and tools, implementation of standard operating procedures and other efficiency measures, while embracing Regal Rexnord's 80/20 principles
  • Support problem solving and gap management by identifying and analyzing and helping close variances to budget through actionable financial insights and cross functional collaboration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; advanced degree or CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant and progressive experience in Finance including Industrial or Global Manufacturing. Prior experience as a site controller and FP&A, preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to quickly establish a personal brand within the organization to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence resources outside one's direct responsibility.
  • Ability to focus on the overall objective for a given process, while at the same time able to dive into transactional detail if needed to resolve questions or issues.
  • Insightful ability to identify trends and themes for continuous improvement across the function.
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and achieve objectives, changing direction along the way to achieve business objectives.
  • Commitment to coaching and mentoring staff to enhance the proficiency, competencies, and long-term development of the team.
  • Motivated by and thrives in a fast-paced environment with frequent ad hoc requests and changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to be hands on, roll up sleeves and demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative, results-orientation. Has a mindset of continuous improvement and can embrace Regal Rexnord's 80/20 principles.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems. Experience with OneStream is a plus.
  • Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Travel up to 30%.
