Overview

Are you an experienced professional looking for a dynamic role where you can make a significant impact? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Office Administrator to join our San Francisco office.

This role is pivotal in managing and supporting the operations of the San Francisco Office, ensuring a productive and positive work environment for attorneys and staff. You will work closely with the Office Leader and the Regional Director of Administration to provide comprehensive resources and support, driving key firm strategies and initiatives.


Responsibilities

Leadership and Support:

  • Collaborate with the Office Leader and Regional Director of Administration to ensure attorneys and

    staff have the resources needed to deliver exceptional client service.

  • Foster a culture of productivity, teamwork, and open communication within the office.

  • Spearhead and promote office events, including staff appreciation and seasonal events, and

    support firmwide initiatives.

  • Play an active leadership role in community service activities and special events, initiating programs to enhance employee morale.

  • Work with the Regional Director of Administration on special projects.

Office Operations:

  • Direct the general operations of the office, including liaising with vendors, managing office space allocation, and overseeing maintenance and construction projects.
  • Ensure effective resolution of office maintenance issues, relocations, and procurement of equipment and supplies.
  • Manage the annual operating and capital expense budget, and review monthly variance reports and budget re-forecasts.
  • Uphold compliance with the Firm's risk management policies and applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule, including occasional evening and weekend hours, to meet office needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the administration of professional service firms, preferably in a

    law firm, with at least 2 years in a management position.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in budget management and understanding of employment laws and regulations.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a broad range of professionals.

  • Willingness to work from the office and accommodate irregular hours as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 - $140,000.

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
