Position Summary/ Department Summary:
Under the supervision of a licensed psychologist with specialized training in clinical neuropsychology, provides direct patient care by administering and scoring psychological tests. Supports the psychological testing process as needed. Supports neuropsychologists in the prior-authorization process. Prepares patient folders and data sheets for reports; orders and maintains psychological test supplies. Manages the neuropsychology clinical database, entering patient information and providing reports as needed. Scans neuropsychology charts for electronic storage.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepares paperwork for prior insurance authorization, including clinical data important for establishing medical necessity for neuropsychological assessment.
  • Manages web-based questionnaires/rating scales for scheduled patients obtaining parent, patient, and teacher surveys; uploads rating scale reports.
  • Administers psychological tests to patients aged 1- 25, according to standardized procedures. As part of the testing process, makes behavioral observations of patients' motor, language, speech, social, emotional, and physical behavior and notes problem-solving style and attention regulation.
  • Scores psychological tests in accordance with standardized procedures for psychologist review. Prepares tables with results of psychological test data for use in written reports.
  • Enters clinical neuropsychological data into clinic database. Checks test data ensuring accurate entry. Notes anomalies and unexpected results for psychologist review.
  • Maintain scans of neuropsychology charts for electronic storage on secure server.
  • Maintains current inventory and organization of assessment material supply cabinets, prepares order requests, and maintains par supply levels.
  • Maintains inventory of digital web-based assessment tools, prepares order requests, and maintains par supply levels.
  • May participate in clinical research. Reviews charts retrospectively, compiles data, prepares data summaries, and drafts analyses. May assist neuropsychology staff with manuscript preparation.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor's Degree is required.
Psychology, Neuroscience, or a closely related field is preferred.

Experience:
1+ year experience in aquaculture environment is required.
Licensure/ Certifications:
AALAS level certification or working to obtain AALAS certification is preferred.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
