We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Commercial Pricing Strategist to join our team.Reporting to the Director of Cost and Pricing you will work a hybrid schedule in East Aurora, NY.

As a Commercial Pricing Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and enabling datadriven pricing strategies that balance market competitiveness, regulatory requirements, and margin objectives, while influencing crossfunctional teams to execute those strategies and support daytoday commercial pricing decisions.

As aCommercial Pricing Strategist, you will:

  • Help shape and operationalize the commercial pricing strategy, partnering with crossfunctional leadership to move pricing from reactive decisionmaking to a deliberate, marketdriven approach.
  • Lead through influence to execute pricing strategy, applying an 80/20 mindset to focus effort on the highestvalue opportunities while enabling scalable, repeatable pricing decisions.
  • Support daytoday commercial pricing needs, balancing strategic initiatives with nearterm deal support to ensure responsiveness without sacrificing longterm objectives.
  • Develop and execute commercial pricing strategies for a portfolio of products and offerings across targeted customer segments and end markets.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to understand customer behavior, competitive dynamics, and geographic pricing variations, translating insights into actionable pricing recommendations.
  • Analyze government and publicsector pricing requirements for complex proposals, ensuring pricing strategies are compliant with applicable regulatory standards while remaining competitive.
  • Build and maintain advanced financial models to evaluate pricing scenarios, margin impact, elasticity, and tradeoffs between competitiveness and profitability.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to Sales, Finance, and Business Leadership, helping drive pricing discipline, improve win rates, and enhance margin realization.

To be considered forthe Commercial Pricing Strategist role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience in pricing, commercial strategy, finance, or related analytical roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and pricing analytics.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with a marketoriented, customerfocused mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and align stakeholders around pricing decisions.
  • Comfort operating in fastpaced, ambiguous environments while balancing strategic and tactical demands.
  • Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information

It'd be great if you also had:

  • Experience supporting pricing for government, regulated, or highly complex commercial environments.
  • Exposure to valuebased pricing, segmentation strategies, or pricing transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Commerciality COE models or enterprise commercial excellence programs.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear executivelevel insights.
  • Experience working with pricing tools, BI platforms, or ERP systems to support datadriven decisionmaking.
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) or Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $130,000.00-$170,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
