Position Overview:

The Data Analytics Intern will support OCHIN's analytics and reporting initiatives by helping collect, clean, analyze, and visualize healthcare and operational data. This internship offers hands-on experience working with healthcare datasets, dashboards, and business intelligence tools while contributing to projects that improve patient outcomes and organizational decision-making.

Tools & Technologies

* SQL

Essential Duties:

• Assist in cleaning, validating, and organizing datasets for analysis
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Support SQL querying and data extraction tasks
• Analyze trends and prepare summaries for internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including research, operations, and clinical staff
• Document analytical processes and findings
• Help identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
• Participate in meetings and present analytical insights when needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Public Health, Health Informatics or a related field
• Basic knowledge of SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Experience with Python or R preferred
• Familiarity with healthcare data or electronic health records (EHR) highly preferred
• Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools preferred
• Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50-60-minute competency assessment. The assessment gives us insights into how your strengths, preferences, and work style align with the OCHIN's nine core competencies. It's not about passing or failing-it's about understanding fit and setting you up for success.

OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.
