Gerber is searching for a National Account Manager to help drive growth and elevate our presence with one of our most strategic retail partners - Walmart. This is an opportunity to shape category growth, influence go-to-market strategy, and represent an iconic American brand known for innovation, durability, and purposeful design.

About the Role:

The National Account Manager generates profitable business on the Mass and Club channels by developing and implementing a comprehensive sales plan that includesnew and existing sales strategies and tactics. The National Account manager is also responsible for prospecting new business relationships and cultivating existing account relationships by:
* Learning detailed information about the customer (including strategic challenges and priorities)
* Identifying key decision makers and coordinating necessary meetings (including Top to Tops) with the account and Gerber teams
* Identifying and prioritizing opportunities across in-line assortment, new category expansion, and promotional activity.
* Ensuring professional sales coordination and planning (including forecast/report sales accuracy) and develop and deliver account proposals and market plans.
* Owning and managing the line review process for their respective accountwhich includes efficiently utilizing all Gerber and Fiskars resources (channel, product marketing, public relations, sales analytics).

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Building account relationships and generating profitable business directly with customersby understanding the customer challenges, priorities and needs, as well as by knowing detailed information about the account, who the key decision makers are and what it takes to close the sale.

  • Full ownership and accountability of customer sales and profitability planning and execution.

  • Analyzing sales data and providing accurate forecasting to ensure operational efficiency and high levels of service.

  • Providing appropriate sales planning and coordination by working with Channel Marketing and NPD to create comprehensive sales plans and proposals that sell profitably for key customers.

  • Managing expenses, as well as account administration, to ensure that internal and external resources are utilized accordingly to develop and strengthen relationships directly with key customers and applicable rep groups.

  • Coordinating and attending internal sales meetings, customer meetings and occasional trade shows to create awareness and develop sales opportunities in key strategic channels to ensure that Gerber is viewed as a leader in the market and a desired partner.

What You Can Bring to the Organization:

  • Bachelor's degreein Business Management/similar OR equivalent additional years of experience

  • 5 - 7 years progressive selling experiencewith major retail accounts; Walmart selling experience a must

  • Club channel selling experience a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets for key accounts

  • Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal, written and presentation skills), manage time effectively and build relationships across disciplines

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment is essential, with a high degree of flexibility and tolerance of change

This position is based in the Bentonville, Arkansas area and follows a hybrid work schedule aligned with our Bentonville regional sales office location.
