We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our organization's financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate accounting and financial management, with expertise in *GAAP. Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI and Project Operations financial software experience is a plus. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing complex financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and mentoring accounting staff. The Accounting Manager will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring adherence to relevant GAAP codification and Audit requirements.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of the financial close each month. Financial statement consolidation, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards and Audit compliance.
  • Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements related to SF1408, DOD cost standards, and other relevant standards.
  • Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits to verify financial integrity.
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Maintain expertise in corporate finance and specialized areas such as Power BI financial reporting.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for management review, interpreting complex data into clear insights for decision-makers.

Education/Certification Required:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration- Accounting or Finance required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Proficiency in GAAP, advanced Excel skills, and experience with accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, ERP systems). Expertise in full-cycle accounting, job costing, or DOD contract accounting.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar senior accounting role within a large, publicly traded, corporate environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP and comprehensive understanding of financial concepts such as balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using Microsoft Dynamics 365, or equivalent systems.
  • Experience with complex financial tasks such as financial report writing, interpretation of financial data, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
  • Ability to mentor teams effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Public Accounting experience preferred but not mandatory; equivalent experience will be considered. Technical Skills Required:
