SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator(s) and in and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Project Coordinator coordinates all research projects conducted by the PI(s) in this department. This will include but not be limited to scheduling, coordination and implementation of programs or services, developing and maintaining key performance indicators to include finance, quality and productivity. Depending on priorities and needs of department, may assume leadership role for activities to insure the successful completion of projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises non-MD/PhD research staff, assigns work tasks to research assistants and volunteers, coordinates work schedules, ensures completion of hospital and program required trainings, monitors staff adherence to procedures/protocols, and meets regularly with project team to ensure all study related tasks are being completed in a timely manner.
Oversees flow of study recruitment and communicates with local advertising outlets to secure dates and costs related to advertising the program's studies.
May assist principal investigators with development, design and data management specifics of new studies and forms and may assist with tabulating and reviewing data results for publication.
Assists research investigators in budgeting and managing financial accounts effectively within the guidelines and policies established by the Hospital as well as sponsoring agencies.
Develop and maintain study regulatory binders. Coordinates all required submissions related to protocol. Ensures full compliance with the IRB.
Establishes, maintains, and supervises all data collections and quality assurance procedures to assure conformance with protocol requirements, standards, and timeliness of research base.
Completes required paperwork, and assists in preparing research progress reports on all studies.
Acts as a liaison to researchers at other study sites collaborating on studies with the Principal Investigator(s).
Maintains and enhances professional expertise through appropriate educational opportunities and literature.
Assists with the management and maintenance of the program website.
Maintains the program's shared file server.
Communicates with property management related to work environment or office issues.
Screens individuals interested in participating in the program's studies and evaluation services.
Performs other related tasks as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Previous research experience highly recommended. Demonstrates advanced competence with various software programs, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with SPSS and/or SAS a plus. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. Creative thinker with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively. Possess excellent interpersonal skills and has the ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion and to work effectively and collaboratively.
Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Exhibits flexibility during times of change. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field. Master's Degree is desirable.
Two to three years related experience in research.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Normal office environment.
INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Performs independently within the department's policies and practices. Refers specific complex problems to the supervisor when clarification of the departmental policies and procedures are required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Oversight responsibilities for up to 3 FTE's.

Pay Range:

$53,060.80-$87,547.20
