Job Summary: The Senior Field Engineer shall be responsible for supporting ongoing projects as well as being an integral part of the new project start-up and project close-out process. This role will work closely with the site-level engineers to ensure IES delivers consistent deliverables to our customers and teams. General Job Duties and Responsibilities: For new projects, build the initial product submittal based on drawings. Build the preliminary cable schedules and open any resulting RFIs. Work with site resources to ensure that the engineering pre-planning documents have beencompleted. Provide training and assistance to site engineering teams as required. Conduct engineering kick-off meetings with local engineers, covering: Comprehensive drawing review RFI discussion Evaluation of cable schedules and installation trackers Submittal examination For existing site support, conduct weekly meetings with local engineering teams, ensuring aclear agenda is set. Provide guidance and support to site-level engineers as required. Closely monitor site progress and deliver regular feedback to management. Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Offer guidance and assistance in structuring RFIs, ensuring clarity and completeness.Systematically review and monitor RFIs and submittals for all assigned projects, maintainingquality control. Facilitate project close-out review meetings, ensuring the close-out checklist is completed andthe site documentation is complete and submitted on time. Promote best practices and knowledge sharing across engineering teams to enhance overallproject performance. Serve as a liaison between site-level teams and management. Provide support for other projects as needed. Red line drawings and support for small projects that cannot support a full-time engineer. Other tasks assigned. Min USD $40.00/Hr. Max USD $48.00/Hr. Qualifications Physical and Mental Requirements Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional, and lead others to create, develop,and implement project process improvement(s). Must have proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read,write, and give oral presentation(s). Must be able to diagnose and fix problems with existing equipment and new installs. Must be enthusiastic, passionate, patient, and a critical thinker. Must be able to communicate with the customer and have excellent customer service skills. Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, includingbut not limited to, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements. Must be able to travel within branch territory and/or regional territory as needed. Regular attendance is mandatoryEducation, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements: Must have at least a high school diploma or GED equivalency; bachelor's degree preferred. Will have at least 4-6 years commercial low voltage/structured cabling experience. Must be able to work well with other people Must have experience working with Bluebeam software. Proficient in Excel (some advanced skills needed). Must meet Company minimum driving standards. Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Must have demonstrated verifiable ability to define a project, create a project scope of work,develop, detailed associated tasks, and manage these to final completion and customerturnover.
