What this job involves - At JLL, we partner with the world's most prestigious organizations. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager (SPjM) to join us as a strategic leader responsible for driving and overseeing highly complex and critical initiatives that have significant impact across the organization.

You will be entrusted with managing a suite of complex projects across a diverse portfolio, shaping best in class delivery methodologies within a team environment, driving stakeholder engagement and alignment, and ensuring that our operational excellence continually evolves toward a future-forward organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement best practices for project management, ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence across your initiatives. You will define robust quality frameworks, lead complex root cause analyses for systemic issues, and ensure that every detail, however intricate, is managed with precision and thoroughness, setting a benchmark for other project managers.

  • Take ultimate ownership for the success and strategic impact of your projects and programs, consistently following through on multi-faceted commitments. You will cultivate a high-performance culture within your teams, replacing blame with a deep curiosity for understanding challenges, and holding yourself and others to exceptional standards while mentoring talent.

  • Drive organizational agility and responsiveness across your portfolio, recognizing that minutes and hours matter significantly in Google's dynamic environment. You will strategically prioritize critical initiatives, address complex stakeholder needs with urgency, and maintain a strong bias for action, all while meticulously ensuring the highest safety and quality standards.

  • Anticipate macro-level challenges, strategic shifts, and potential organizational impediments before they arise. You will take the initiative to not only resolve problems but to proactively shape future roadmaps, raise the organizational bar for service delivery, and challenge the status quo to continually enhance the Googler experience through innovative solutions.

  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional alignment efforts, building a highly connected and collaborative ecosystem across diverse internal Google teams (e.g., REWS, BOS, Product Area Teams, GEN, AV, EH&S, Food, Events, Executive Events, H&P), external partners, and vendors. You will strategically mitigate organizational seams, streamline workflows, and create a truly frictionless and interconnected environment for delivering complex projects.

  • Exercise robust financial stewardship and strategic cost-conscious decision-making at a program or portfolio level. You will manage significant budgets with the diligence of personal funds, proactively identify large-scale efficiencies, provide strategic optionality, and recommend long-term investments that maximize value and optimize resource allocation across Google.

  • Champion the use of comprehensive data and analytics to uncover strategic insights, validate assumptions, and drive smarter decision-making across your projects and for the wider organization. You will transform complex data into compelling, fact-based narratives that influence senior leadership and shape future strategies.

  • Actively stay ahead of industry disruptions, emerging technologies, and evolving market trends, providing Google with industry-leading insights and strategic foresight. You will contribute to building for long-term organizational success, foster an agile project management culture, and invest in developing talent and tools to confidently lead Google's operational capabilities into the future.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Project Management) or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7+ years of progressive experience managing highly complex, large-scale projects or programs, demonstrating increased scope and responsibility.

  • Expertise in delivering technical projects involving key building systems; Building Automation Systems (BMS), IoT deployments, Digital/Smart Buildings, Life Safety and Corporate Networks

  • Expertise in advanced project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, risk management, and financial oversight of multi-million dollar initiatives.

  • Proven ability to mentor junior project managers and contribute to PjM best practices within an organization.

  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with multiple, competing priorities.

  • Demonstrated success in driving organizational change and process improvement at a strategic level

  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and executive communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (MBA or related advanced degree).

  • PMP, PgMP, or other advanced project management certifications.

  • Relevant tech industry experience

Estimated compensation for this position:

130,000.00 - 165,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
