As an Assembler, you'll support the build and shipment of industrial processing equipment at Coperion Food, Health and Nutrition, a Hillenbrand company, in Sabetha, Kansas. We design and manufacture equipment and systems used to safely and efficiently process food, health, and nutrition products for customers around the world. Your work will contribute to disciplined execution on the manufacturing floor, consistent product quality, and dependable delivery. You'll build practical skills while supporting long-term operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Location: Sabetha, Kansas
Shift: 1st shift (4:00 a.m., 5:00 a.m., or 6:00 a.m. start times)
Schedule: 45-hour work week

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Assemble equipment by reading and following blueprints and technical instructions to meet quality and safety standards.

  • Install and secure components using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and air-driven tools to complete assemblies and subassemblies.

  • Perform related assembly activities, including attaching decals, completing minor paint touchups, testing equipment, and installing plumbing and electrical controls.

  • Package finished equipment by securing, tagging, and attaching loose hardware to ensure safe and complete shipments.

  • Prepare packing lists and shipping logs, documenting shortages or issues to support accurate records.

  • Load packaged equipment onto trucks and coordinate shipments with carriers and customers to support on-time delivery.

  • Build skids and crates and determine appropriate sizes to protect equipment and optimize trailer space.

THE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical documentation.

  • Basic math skills to support measurements, counts, and calculations.

  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and air-driven tools in a manufacturing environment.

  • Willingness and ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks, with training provided as needed.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and housekeeping standards.

  • Ability to follow guidance, learn new tasks, and adapt to changing production needs.

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
