This temporary laboratory associate is to lead a short-term project involving the understanding of mechanobiology in mouse palatogenesis. Tasks will include, but are not limited to, handling mouse breeding, microdissection, histology, paraffin and frozen embedding of tissue, sectioning of mouse tissue, immunostaining, laser ablation and live imaging.

A PhD in a scientific field involving cell and developmental biology, genetics and biochemistry is required. Required qualifications include the above-mentioned techniques, excellent data analysis skills including the use of Zeiss and Fiji image processing software, knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, and strong interpersonal skills and work ethic. Highly desired qualifications include previous independent research experience and grant writing.
