Student Laboratory Research Associate

The Iowa Institute of Oral Health Research (IIOHR), at the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry is seeking a Laboratory Research Associate to assist with ongoing projects dedicated to understanding aspects of oral pathology, specifically focusing on microbial elements and host microRNAs.

Duties will include:

* -Help prepare DNA/RNA samples for PCR analyses; run the PCR assays.

* -Work with oral bacteria in purified cultures and animal models to examine oral and systemic effects of periodontal disease.

* -Participate in the intellectual culture of the laboratory.

Pre-dental / pre-medical undergraduate students preferred.

Work schedule: M-F, between hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. As close to 20 hours / week as possible, flexible.

Rate of Pay: $11.00/Hour
