The Sales Technology Instructional Designer/Trainer is responsible for supporting the successful implementation and adoption of Medica's Sales technologies. This role partners with Sales Leadership, Technology and Operations to translate complex systems into practical training, documentation, and rollout strategies that drive efficiency and performance. The ideal candidate combines instructional design expertise with strong technical acumen to ensure system launches result in sustained adoption and measurable impact. Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities

Sales Technology Launch & Adoption Strategy



  • Lead end-to-end training and adoption planning for new Sales technologies and system enhancements.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership, Technology, and Operations to develop structured rollout strategies that drive awareness, readiness, and sustained adoption.
  • Identify impacts to sales workflows and proactively design enablement plans to minimize disruption and maximize productivity.
  • Lead engaging live training sessions with end users during system rollouts, reinforcing key workflows and driving launch readiness.
  • Establish adoption success metrics and monitor engagement, usage, and performance post-launch.


Instructional Design & Training Delivery



  • Partner with technical and operational teams to document both new and existing Sales systems, ensuring clear, standardized process and workflow guidance.
  • Translate complex system functionality into user-friendly documentation and learning materials.
  • Develop multi-modal training assets, including presentations, job aids, video tutorials, reference guides, and eLearning modules.
  • Maintain and continuously update system documentation to reflect enhancements, process changes, and best practices.


Training Delivery, Adoption Analytics & Continuous Improvement



  • Monitor system utilization and adoption metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for reinforcement.
  • Conduct post-launch feedback sessions and surveys to evaluate training effectiveness and user experience.
  • Refine training materials and implement supplemental learning strategies based on performance data and user feedback.
  • Serve as an ongoing resource to Sales and cross-functional partners, ensuring continuous optimization of Sales technology usage.

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience


Preferred Qualifications



  • Healthcare product knowledge
  • Experience with virtual training platforms
  • Experience writing and developing content for diverse platforms
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in an environment that is constantly changing, at times with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite


This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week. We are open to candidates located near one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN, Madison, WI, Omaha, NE, or St. Louis, MO.

The full salary grade for this position is $62,700 - $107,500. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $62,700 - $94,080. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to compensation, Medica offers a generous total rewards package that includes competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and many other benefits to support our employees.
