Intern Strategy Business Insights and Execution

Role Description

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Strategy - Business Insights and Execution (BIX) team in a fast-paced, growing organization within a dynamic industry.

Located in McLean, Virginia, you will play a key role in assessing business trends to inform strategic development, establishing and monitoring execution progress through Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and aligning strategy with business planning and capital allocation.

The exposure to a broad range of diverse activities will provide a comprehensive understanding of the Strategy team. This position also works closely with various other departments and business verticals.


Responsibilities

  • Investigate state-of-the-art AI tools on information collection, warehousing, and process automation, and help drive adoption within the Strategy team
  • Assist in developing data-driven business and customer insights, bridging strategy to business planning
  • Facilitate documentation and provide comprehensive training on key data fields to ensure consistent analytics
  • Provide other ad-hoc support for various internal stakeholders from corporate functions and verticals


Experience / Qualifications

  • Current student in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Economics, or in a relevant area
  • Strong interest in the global technology, media, and telecom business and satellite communications in particular
  • Experience with state-of-the-art AI tools
  • Knowledge of data visualization software, e.g., Microsoft Power BI, and other data analytics platforms
  • Excellent analytical and judgment skills, experience with financial modeling being a plus
  • Can-do attitude, with drive to follow through on tasks until completion
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills; international experience considered a plus
  • Ability to cope with multiple priorities and to work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a global team; flexibility in hybrid working environment
  • Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset
  • Valid work permit for the US
