Roadtex Transportation has become a leader in the nationwide LTL industry, specializing in transporting time and temperature-sensitive products. We handle refrigerated and LTL needs by leveraging no sailing schedules, our nationwide network of 32 strategically placed temperature-controlled facilities, our state-of-the-art tracking, and our specialized equipment and warehousing capabilities. In 2022, Roadtex was acquired by Echo Global Logistics. The acquisition brings a truckload brokerage and expanded transportation management solutions to Roadtex's customers while providing Echo with our national warehouse footprint and advanced temperature-controlled transportation solutions.

Core Responsibilities

Business & IT Partnership / Project Prioritization

  • Act as the primary liaison between Operations and IT

  • Lead prioritization of technology initiatives

  • Oversee project execution and ROI alignment

Process Design & Operational Efficiency

  • Optimize dispatch, routing, and dock operations

  • Drive standardization and scalability

  • Identify automation and cost reduction opportunities

Technology Design, Testing & Implementation

  • Support TMS, routing tools, and ELD implementation

  • Lead pilot programs and field testing

  • Ensure usability and adoption

Reporting, Governance & Compliance

  • Establish KPI reporting frameworks

  • Ensure DOT and safety compliance

  • Develop dashboards and scorecards

Continuous Improvement & Root Cause Analysis

  • Conduct root cause analysis

  • Implement corrective actions

  • Drive Lean / Six Sigma initiatives

Administrative & Back-Office Optimization

  • Improve scheduling and routing workflows

  • Align back-office with field operations

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field, MBA preferred not required

  • 8-12+ years in logistics or transportation

  • 5+ years leadership experience

  • Experience with TMS and logistics systems

  • Lean Six Sigma certification highly preferred

  • Experience with ELDs and telematics preferred
