Location: Medical Center - Fort WorthDepartment: PsychiatryShift: Varying Shifts (United States of America)Standard Weekly Hours: 24Summary: The Mental Health Technician/(Program Specialist I) will work in Cook Children's psychiatric unit to provide direct, compassionate care to young patients, support treatment plans, and help to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. You'll serve as primary caregiver for patients ages pre-K through adolescent, supporting daily living activities and helping children/adolescents manage challenging behavioral health or psychiatric diagnosis. The Mental Health Tech will also assist in crisis intervention, teaching, group therapy and on-call rotations as needed. Our ideal candidate will have a solid work history; experience working with at-risk children and a behavioral health background. Required certifications (CPI Crisis Intervention, Heartsaver CPR, CSC SCM) are provided through paid training within your first 60 days. Hours: 24 hours per week - Flexible 4-, 8-, or 12-hour shifts available between 6:30am-11pm. Will require some weekend and holiday coverage. Qualifications:
