Apex Companies is seeking an experiencedConstruction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) Project Administratorto oversee transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience managing transportation projects for local municipalitiesand /or FDOT. A proventrack recordworking on projects withFDOT SCOP, SCRAP, and LAP grant fundingis a plus.

Your Responsibilities as a Project Administrator:

Serve as the primary point of contact for CEI services on FDOT and local agency transportation projects.
Administer contracts,monitorbudgets, and ensure adherence to project schedules.
Oversee construction inspection teams andmaintaincompliance with FDOT specifications, standards, and procedures.
Coordinate with the contractor, Engineer ofRecordand project staff to manage submittals, RFI's and pay applications
Manage documentation and reporting requirements for grant-funded projects, including Davis-Baconwage verification and LAP compliance.
Coordinate with contractors, FDOT representatives, and / or local agencies to resolve issues andmaintainproject progress.
Review and approve pay estimates, change orders, and project closeout documentation.

What we're looking for:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in CEI inspection and project administration for FDOT or local agencies on transportation projects.
BSEngineering degree and 3 years CEI experience will be considered in lieu of 5 years' experience
Strong knowledge of FDOT specifications and procedures
Familiarity withroadway, drainage, and utility construction practices.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
FDOT CTQP certifications (Project Administrator, Earthwork, Asphalt, Concrete)required
Proficiencyin FDOT systems such asSiteManagerand other project management tools preferred
FieldworkexpectedinSWFLregion.
Driverslicense and excellent driving recordrequired.
