Role Overview: Apex is seeking a Mid level industrial hygienist (IH) ready to travel throughout the United States to provide overarching occupational health and safety expertise to a portfolio of national clients in the aerospace, warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution industries. We have multi-decade relationships with our clients and work with them hand-in-hand to help them achieve their occupational health and safety, ergonomic, and safety engineering goals. This position entails supporting routine ongoing work and negotiation with numerous customer stakeholders, all of whom need to be satisfied with respect to project purpose, scope, and tactics. This role willprovideonsiteand remoteIHsupport on a periodic basis depending on clientneed. Thelocation andduration of projectsare subject to change based on theclient's request. Projects and deployment mayrange from under 1weekto3 months.The role will entail a broad scope of IH supportsuch asstandard shop floor assessments,samplingand interpretation,andEHSfacility program improvement, implementation,and management.This role will also act as an advisor toclientson occupational safety and health issues. As part of working with this portfolio of clients, this role will provide inputtoApex's client relationship managers and business development staff on potential new EHS support projects. This role willparticipatein business development activities as directed. The right candidate will havetechnicalexpertisein occupational industrial hygiene withageneralbase ofhealth and safety knowledge.Theywill alsohavetheprojectmanagement andleadershipskillstoimplementa national program atalocal site. Perhaps mostimportantly, the ideal candidatewill be an energetic self-starter with the ability to workbothindependentlyand as a team toproduce results. This candidatecanpermanentlyresideanywhere in the United States,understanding that this role will require travel and part time relocation. Travel costswithinreasonablerange of a major airport, lodging,and per diem will be provided foron-siteprojects.
