Job Summary


The Assembler I is responsible for performing entry-level assembly operations, including building components, sub-assemblies, and final products according to established instructions and quality standards. This role involves the use of hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment to support production processes such as brazing, soldering, and basic testing. The Assembler I works under the direction of a supervisor or team lead and is expected to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while ensuring product quality and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities



  • Assemble components, sub-assemblies, and final products following work instructions and specifications
  • Use hand tools, bench tools, and power tools to complete assembly tasks
  • Load and unload materials, including contacts, solder shims, and conductors, for furnace brazing processes
  • Operate and support automatic and semi-automatic production equipment
  • Perform basic electrical and mechanical tests, such as ground and dielectric testing
  • Conduct soldering and wire preparation tasks, including cutting, stripping, and forming wires
  • Package finished products, including labeling and preparing cartons for shipment
  • Inspect work for defects and report any quality or equipment issues to supervisors
  • Perform detailing and finishing operations as instructed
  • Operate equipment such as riveters, drill presses, sanders, grinders, and related machinery
  • Move materials as needed to support production flow
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area


Job Requirements



  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work scheduled hours and meet production demands
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from supervisors


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred


Work Experience



  • Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
