We partner with families, employers, and community organizations to help people live, work, and thrive. ________________________________________ Role Overview VersAbility Resources is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to lead quality control efforts within our Government Contracts division supporting the Military Sealift Command (MSC). This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the contract's Quality Control Plan (QCP), ensuring all administrative and HR support services meet Performance Work Statement (PWS) standards. The QA Officer operates as the authority on service quality, driving compliance, performance improvement, and overall client satisfaction. ________________________________________ AbilityOne Program Commitment VersAbility Resources participates in the AbilityOne Program, a federal initiative that creates employment opportunities for individuals with significant disabilities. In accordance with AbilityOne requirements, a minimum of 75% of direct labor hours on this contract are performed by individuals with qualified disabilities. ________________________________________ What You'll Do Quality Program Management *Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Control Plan (QCP) *Establish and manage inspection and audit schedules across departments *Conduct recurring, random, and targeted inspections to ensure compliance with contract standards *Document inspection findings and maintain formal QA logs Data Analysis & Reporting *Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) *Analyze performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities *Prepare and present monthly and quarterly quality reports to leadership and government stakeholders Corrective Action & Process Improvement *Lead investigations and resolution of Corrective Action Requests (CARs) *Manage internal non-conformance and corrective action processes *Partner with leadership to implement process improvements and prevent recurring issues *Recommend enhancements to workflows, training, and operational processes Team & Project Management *Supervise and mentor Special Project Assistants (SPAs) *Deploy staff to support audits, data collection, and special projects *Ensure team members are trained in quality assurance methodologies and standards ________________________________________ Qualifications *Bachelor's degree in business or related field (preferred) *Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within a federal government contract environment *Strong knowledge of Performance Work Statements (PWS) and compliance requirements *Experience developing and managing quality control plans and audit programs *Strong analytical and problem-solving skills *Ability to interpret data and present actionable insights *Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills *Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) *Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, CQA, or ISO 9001 (preferred) *Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance ________________________________________ Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position operates onsite in a professional office environment supporting a government contract. The role requires daily interaction with staff, leadership, and government stakeholders. Work is primarily sedentary with extended periods of computer use. Occasional walking, standing, and light lifting may be required.
