As a Human Resources Generalist, you'll have the opportunity to work with one of the largest independent aviation service businesses in the world. StandardAero provides comprehensive services to commercial, military, business aviation, helicopters and industrial operators. The company has almost 7,000 employees working out of facilities strategically located in the U.S., Canada and internationally and serving customers from over 80 different countries. This position supports the DFW facility, regional turbine centers and US field service team.

What you'll do:

  • Member of the DFW Human Resources team, reporting to the Director of Human Resources.
  • HR Business Partner to assigned client group, including up to 750 non-union employees, managers and other leaders located in DFW and remotely throughout the U.S.
  • Collaborates with all levels of staff and management in a fast-paced environment and contributes to the Human Resources team for StandardAero enterprise.
  • For client group, takes appropriate action to address and resolve employee relations issues and manage typical HR Generalist activities to include staffing, performance management, compliance, compensation planning, learning and development, reward/recognition and answering employee payroll and benefits questions.
  • Leads investigations for employee related issues and/or concerns.
  • Confidentially guides staff and manager through a process of developing answers, solutions, and/or strategies to deal fairly, legally and effectively with people-related matters.
  • Strives to ensure that there is strong communication of all employee programs in an effort to increase employee engagement and morale.
  • Provides advice, counsel and support to client group to ensure the consistent and equitable application of organization policies and procedures.
  • Guides leaders and employees through the performance management, disciplinary and termination processes.
  • Conducts new hire orientation and other on-boarding activities.
  • Administers Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Program.
  • Where required, develops and conducts training as it relates to staffing and employee relations.
  • Develops and maintains community/academic relationships to increase exposure/awareness of the StandardAero brand.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned.

What Skills You Will Use:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and positively influence others.
  • Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information.
  • Professionalism and diplomacy with all levels of the organization.
  • Presentation skills and comfort in front of larger groups.
  • Advanced planning/organizational skills.
  • Sound reasoning, analysis, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply creativity toward problem solving and process improvement.
  • Proficient communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience dealing with non-union employee relations matters; preference for candidates who demonstrate experience with maintaining positive employee relations.
  • Experience with compensation analysis, benefits and payroll, leadership coaching and change management.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulatory environments.
  • Skilled in Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to Human Resources highly desirable.
  • PHR or SPHR certifications desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in staffing (recruitment); experience with an ATS preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic industry is highly desirable.
