Summary The Duke Energy Nuclear Fleet Corporate Design Engineering (CDE) department is the Design Authority for each of Duke Energy's six nuclear sites. CDE is responsible for the execution of a fleet portfolio that includes design solutions supporting risk reduction, equipment obsolescence, and plant modernization. The Robinson Nuclear Plant Corporate Design Mechanical Engineering team manages the capital engineering change (EC) portfolio at the Robinson nuclear sites. The team collaborates with other CDE staff to ensure that high quality design solutions are delivered to meet site needs and milestone requirements. Have working knowledge of mechanical design standards and procedures. They will develop Mechanical engineering specific solutions in support of design packages for plant equipment upgrade projects; including but not limited to scoping and development of design packages for plant modifications; HVAC, piping design, heat exchanger evaluations and Hydraulic piping/tubing design and modifications, mechanical equipment evaluations and independent reviews of peer prepared engineering products.
