The Opportunity

Our Operational Technology, Growth and Divestitures organization is looking to add an OT Strategic Business Analyst based in Calgary, AB; Houston, TX; or Charleston, WV. This role reports to the Senior Manager of SCADA, RTS and PI.

Operational Technology is at the heart of how the organization safely and reliably operates critical infrastructure. As OT environments continue to evolve-through modernization, integration, data, AI, and growth initiatives-the ability to clearly explain value, align teams, and support strong decisionmaking is more important than ever.

This role is central to that mission.

The OT Strategic Business Analyst acts as a connector between business teams and highly technical OT specialists, helping translate outcomes into action and ensuring alignment around why we invest, what value we expect, and how we move forward together.

What You'll Do

• Translate complex OT initiatives into clear, outcomefocused narratives that resonate with business leaders and executives

• Articulate how OT investments enable safety, reliability, risk reduction, and longterm enterprise value

• Elevate conversations from technology details to business outcomes

• Act as a trusted partner between business teams and OT domain experts (SCADA, Measurement, RealTime Systems, Infrastructure)

• Facilitate productive conversations that align priorities, clarify tradeoffs, and build shared understanding

• Ensure strong alignment across teams that operate and communicate very differently

• Champion the strategic value of OT data and how it supports better decisionmaking

• Help enable future AIdriven insights by translating the value of OT data and how it can be safely combined with corporate data

• Support alignment between OT teams, data and analytics teams, and business stakeholders-while respecting OT safety and governance boundaries

• Support OT strategy and portfolio planning by translating business priorities into actionable roadmaps

• Develop business cases, options analyses, and decision support materials

• Bring structure and clarity to complex, crossdomain problem spaces

• Provide analytical support during periods of growth and organizational change

• Work closely with senior leaders across business and IS to shape priorities and decisions impacting critical operational systems

Minimum Qualifications

• University degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline

• 7+ years of experience in business analysis, strategy, portfolio investment planning, or similar roles

• Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language

• Proven experience engaging senior leaders and producing executiveready materials

• Understanding of OT data and how it is fundamentally different from structured data

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in or alongside OT or industrial environments (energy, utilities, pipelines, manufacturing, etc.)

• Experience working with OT platforms and ecosystems (e.g., AVEVA)

• Exposure to capital planning, large initiatives, or M&A activities

This position requires candidates to:

• Have current, valid authorization to travel internationally (including but not limited to Canada, US and Mexico)

• Occasionally travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training
