Summary of the Job: The Post Funding Administrator is responsible for managing all mortgage loans post funding. Verifying all received information is documented appropriately in the Bank's files, records and systems. Primary responsibilities include onboarding loans into the core system, delivering and shipping loans to various investors.

Essential Functions:

  • Reviews all loan packages for proper documentation and signatures.
  • Assembles loan documents in a specific stacking order and transfers the loan package to the Collateral Department.
  • Enters each loan into LERETA
  • Onboards each loan into the core system by exporting data from Encompass, our LOS.
  • Verifies accuracy of imported data into the core system.
  • Manage post funding deficiency reports and gather documentation to clear exceptions.
  • Ship closed loans, according to investor requirements.
  • Coordinates post funding fulfillment duties on sold loans, including MERS registration and transfer, flood certificate transfer, insuring and paying fees for FHA, VA and USDA loans.
  • Collect outstanding deficiencies from appropriate department for investor purchase or insuring.
  • Maintains strong knowledge of bank policies, procedures and loan products.
  • Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established at Southside Bank.
  • Must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws, and in accordance with the Bank's Information Security Program.

Required Education/Experience:

Post Funding Administrator I

  • High School graduate, GED, or the equivalent required.
  • Two year degree or equivalent work experience.
  • One year experience in banking including experience in collecting loan applications, entering application data into the lending system, communicating loan decisions, collecting supporting documentation and obtaining properly executed loan agreements.

Post Funding Administrator II

  • High School graduate, GED, or the equivalent required.
  • Two year degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Two years' experience in Lending Services domains which may include loan origination, underwriting, processing, closing and funding, quality assurance or servicing such as system transactions, maintenance of documentation and generating and/or reviewing reports.

Post Funding Administrator III

  • High School graduate, GED, or the equivalent required.
  • Four year degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Three years' experience in Lending Services domains which may include loan origination, underwriting, processing, closing and funding, quality assurance or servicing such as system transactions, maintenance of documentation and generating and/or reviewing reports.

Necessary Skills:

  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, dependable, analytical and a problem solver.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Adheres to deadlines.
  • Knowledge of various mortgage and banking software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications.

Physical Activity/Dexterity:

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. Works with fingers and perceives attributes of objects

Physical Environment Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to visit other offices, conference rooms, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and telephone.
  • Constantly positions self to operate on a computer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with other people throughout each day. Must be able to exchange accurate information when conversing.

Working Conditions/Environment:

  • Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Moderate noise (e.g. business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
