In this position, you'll lead proposal kickoff meetings and facilitate strategy discussions, while working closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and operations leaders to align teams around pursuit goals, messaging, and schedules. You'll coordinate and develop client-facing proposals, presentations, and qualifications that tell SSOE's story with clarity and impact, while gaining hands-on experience in project coordination, strategic thinking, and persuasive storytelling across fast-paced AEC markets.

Responsibilities

A Typical Day Might Include:

EXCEPTIONAL INTERNAL CUSTOMER SERVICE

    Partner with project managers and operations leadership to develop competitive proposals, presentations, and qualifications (PPQs), from kickoff to final delivery.
  • Lead proposal kickoff meetings and drive schedules, task assignments, and review milestones.
  • Gather, organize, and synthesize information from multiple contributors while keeping timelines on track.

WORKING AS PART OF A TEAM

  • Facilitate strategy discussions and help translate win themes into clear, client-focused messaging.
  • Develop proposal content, such as project profiles, by interviewing internal subject matter experts.
  • Tailor resumes and team qualifications for technical staff specific to each pursuit.
  • Support presentation teams preparing for client interviews and selection meetings.
  • Coordinate marketing materials for industry conferences and business development efforts.
  • Work closely with fellow marketing team members to balance workload and meet deadlines.
  • Perform limited data entry and reporting within SSOE's database.


Qualifications

What You'll Bring on Day One:

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, proposals, or business development-preferably in the AEC industry.
  • Excellent writing / editing / proofreading skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, detail and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work productively and independently under deadlines. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a positive team spirit.
  • Proficiency in InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Associate Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or similar

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • AEC industry and / or direct proposal experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing
