We're seeking a skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team!

Position Summary

The Senior Tax Accountant will support the company's tax function by overseeing income tax compliance processes performed by thirdparty advisors, preparing income tax provisions, managing indirect tax matters, and assisting with other taxrelated initiatives. This role requires close coordination with external advisors and internal stakeholders in a structured, corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

Income Tax Compliance Oversight



  • Act as the primary internal liaison with external tax advisors responsible for the preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns
  • Review income tax returns prepared by thirdparty providers for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with company records
  • Coordinate the gathering and delivery of tax data, workpapers, and approvals to meet compliance deadlines
  • Assist with responding to tax notices, inquiries, and audits from taxing authorities
  • Maintain tax fixed assets
  • Maintain tax compliance calendars and supporting documentation


Income Tax Accounting & Provision



  • Prepare annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
  • Calculate current and deferred tax expense, including analysis of temporary and permanent differences
  • Support effective tax rate forecasting, valuation allowance assessments, and uncertain tax positions
  • Prepare and review tax-related journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement disclosures
  • Partner with the Accounting team to support accurate and timely financial reporting


Indirect Taxes



  • Manage indirect tax processes, including sales and use tax, property tax, and other nonincomebased taxes
  • Oversee indirect tax filings prepared internally or by external service providers
  • Monitor nexus, registration, and compliance requirements across applicable jurisdictions
  • Support process improvements and documentation related to indirect tax compliance


Tax Planning & Other Initiatives



  • Support tax planning initiatives, including entity structuring, intercompany matters, and transactionrelated activities
  • Assist with tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and reorganizations
  • Provide support related to capitalization table maintenance in coordination with Accounting, Legal, and external advisors
  • Participate in process improvement, internal control documentation, and tax automation efforts
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impacts to the organization


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or industry
  • Strong understanding of U.S. federal and state income tax principles
  • Experience preparing or reviewing income tax provisions under ASC 740


Preferred Qualifications:



  • CPA and/or Master's degree in Taxation
  • Experience in private equity-backed or complex corporate structures
  • Exposure to transactionrelated tax matters
  • Exposure to indirect tax matters
  • Experience managing relationships with external tax advisors

The salary for this position is based on an array of factors unique to each candidate: Such as years and depth of experience, set skills, certifications, etc. We are hiring for different levels, and our Recruiting team will let you know if you qualify for a different role/range.
Pay range: $110,000-$125,000 + Annual Bonus
