Job Summary
Assist program management office in meeting their contractual data requirements; quality assurance with meeting their AS9100 quality management system requirements, and department and company personnel with various tasks.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strong written, oral, interpersonal, group and telephone communication skills.
  • Maintain document management (i.e., electronic files, logs, schedules), tracking and reporting tools relating to Subcontractor Data Requirements Listing (SDRL) data submittals.
  • Perform tasks associated with processing and implementation of SDRL ECNs, including update of controlled databases and documents and notifications of changes.
  • Maintain document file system including electronic and hard copy of documents; maintain internal and external correspondence files, and issue document control numbers.
  • Coordinates the verification, approval and processing of document revisions and tracks document activity to ensure timeliness and process efficiency.
  • Transfer company technical documents in compliance with laws and regulations following established outgoing technical data compliance procedures (i.e., transfer logs, forms, recordkeeping).
  • Maintain the flow of both electronic and hard-copied controlled documents; and resource materials (control of external documents).
  • Perform archiving and record destruction of off-site documents per retention policies following department procedures.
  • Assist hardware/software configuration with generating of documentation supplied to internal and external customers.
  • Analyze, create, and implement process improvements in response to internal and external audit findings.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with the ISO 9000 Quality System by coordinating and executing all new and updated company processes.
  • Guide initiators in understanding document control procedures and the development of accurate changes and documentation.
  • Assist with various clerical duties for the company on an as needed basis.
  • Create, review and edit multiple types of documentation from various departments within the company, as needed.
  • Conversion of hard copy documents into electronic file formats by performing document scanning.
  • Take directions from various program managers pertaining to data submittals.

Qualifications

  • Must have excellent computer skills (All Microsoft Office software and Internet)
  • Type 50 wpm
  • A good team player with strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced Engineering environment calmly and effectively
  • Demonstrated experience with document control systems, product lifecycle management, and internal auditing.
  • Customer driven with sense of urgency/priority in responding to customers' needs.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze diverse submissions and assess compliance to standards utilizing independent judgment consistently and appropriately.
  • Must be proficient in writing procedural documentation, with excellent grammatical and proofreading skills required.
  • AA Degree or 5+ years' experience in a related function

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000
