Job Summary

The Application Engineer provides support to customers and Sales Managers through the issuance of quotations, technical datasheets, troubleshooting pumps and systems, and attending to the Engineer requirements of the customer, in relation to pumping applications.

Responsibilities


  • Analyze hydraulic data and provide job bids and quotations for specialized pump installations based upon the properly applied system.
  • Engineer customer orders by selecting both standard items and purchased to-the-order components to create a final assembly.
  • Establish quotation pricing to meet desired sales margins.
  • Seek pricing information from vendors and perform costing of complete assemblies.
  • Provides technical support to sales personnel, distributors, and end-users that may include application recommendations, operational specifications, installation, and maintenance.
  • Provide project support for system development relating to quotations, order engineering, standardization of products, cost reduction, and any other project that may be assigned to meet the goals of the Engineering Department.
  • Assures compliance with our ISO 9001:2000 system and company policies and programs.



Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with pump technology is a plus.
  • 3D SolidWorks/2D CAD expereince is preferred.
  • Candidates must have excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced office setting, and strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels of the organization, as well as distributors and customers, is critical to success in this position.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Office with strong analytical skills.
  • Understands commercial aspect of interfacing with customers to deliver a solution to meet their needs.



Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements


  • Travel 10% or less (domestic & international) plus regular and consistent site presence at our plant in Enon, Ohio.
