Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant - Product Cost Focus
Location: Tampa, FL (OnSite / Hybrid) Work Model: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote Employment Type: Longterm Contract with potential ContracttoHire Start Timeline: MidMay (target)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant with a strong handson focus on Product Costing and Controlling. This role is intended to provide longterm support to an SAP Finance & Controlling team and will play a critical role in configuration, integration, and optimization of cost processes within SAP. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical CO expertise, strong functional Finance knowledge, and the ability to lead initiatives endtoend while working closely with business partners, IT teams, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
SAP FI/CO - Core Responsibilities
- Provide handson configuration and support for SAP FI/CO, with a primary focus on Controlling and Product Costing
- Support monthend close activities, including cost settlement, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Configure and support Material Ledger and associated cost processes
- Participate in implementations, rollouts, and major enhancement initiatives
- Lead integration efforts between FI/CO and other SAP modules
Controlling (CO) - Required Expertise
- Product Costing and Cost Component Structures
- Material Ledger configuration and usage
- Monthend closing processes
- Integration with:
- SAP PP (production / industrial processes)
- SAP SD / SOP (sales and operational planning)
Finance (FI) - Functional Knowledge
- General Accounting
- Fixed Assets Accounting
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Credit management and credit limits
- Bank communication and EDI
- Treasuryrelated processes
Integrations & Advanced Capabilities
- Support integration betweenFI/CO and:
- Partner with crossfunctional teams to resolve endtoend process issues
- Perform rootcause analysis and deliver sustainable solutions
- Support testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing
Required Qualifications
Core Technical Experience
- Strong, handson experience with SAP FI/CO, with emphasis on Product Costing
- Solid working knowledge of both Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO)
- Participation in at least two full SAP implementations or rollout projects
- Demonstrated experience supporting live SAP environments, not only project work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA
- Integration experience with Vendor Invoice Management (VIM)
- Exposure to Vertex Tax integration
- Experience in complex or manufacturingfocused environments
