Position Summary

The HR Benefits Coordinator provides entry-level administrative support for employee benefit programs across the United States and Canada. This role is responsible for the accurate processing, maintenance, and reconciliation of benefits-related data while ensuring timely coordination between payroll, HR systems, benefit vendors, and Shared Services. The coordinator plays a key role in supporting day-to-day benefits operations, maintaining data integrity, and assisting with employee inquiries, while gaining foundational experience in benefits administration within a collaborative HR environment.

This is a 4-month temporary role

Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities



  • Administer weekly U.S. 401(k) payroll contribution files, ensuring accurate and timely transmission to vendors and alignment with payroll data
  • Reconcile benefit vendor billing and invoices
  • Track, administer, and maintain accurate records for employee leaves of absence in both the U.S. and Canada
  • Maintain and audit employee benefit data between HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration systems to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Assist with daily administration of benefit plans, including enrollments, life events, and ongoing employee updates
  • Partner closely with the HR Shared Services center to support Tier 1 employee benefit inquiries, escalating issues as appropriate
  • Support ongoing process improvements and documentation related to benefits administration
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed in support of the broader HR and Total Rewards function



Competency Requirements



  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow instructions and possess an attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and possess ability to navigate and use other web-based systems as necessary
  • Possess a positive attitude and establish good working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders



Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements



  • 1-2 years of experience in human resources or benefits administration
  • High School Diploma Required, Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. This is a remote position in the US. We are open to candidates in various states, with the exception of those residing in the following: AK, DC, DE, ME, NH, NM, OK, HI, MS, MT, NV, NE, ND, SD, VT, WY, WV

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $20 USD - $23 USD hourly. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
