POSITION SUMMARY:

The Grants and Program Advancement Manager secures and stewards institutional funding that supports equitable, trauma-informed, and community-centered programs, as well as general operational and capital assets. Grounded in a macro social work framework, this role integrates fund development, program strategy, and systems-level thinking to strengthen service delivery designed to meet the economic, social, and emotional challenges and enhance the well-being of people served.

The Manager builds relationships and collaborates across programs, finance, leadership, and community partners to align funding opportunities with evidence-informed practices, program and community needs, and strategic priorities set forth by the organization. This position plays a key role in sustaining and expanding programs that serve individuals, families, and communities impacted by behavioral health and social challenges.

Core Responsibilities

* Identify and pursue foundation, corporate, and government funding opportunities

* Develop and implement a grants strategy that supports the organization's advancement plans.

* Lead the writing and submission of compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and concept papers grounded in organization and community needs and data.

* Integrate macro social work concepts such as prevention, policy context, systems coordination, and population-level impact into funder narratives.

* Partner with program leaders to align funding strategies with program design, growth, and evaluation.

* Prepare accurate and timely grant reports that demonstrate impact, equity outcomes, and community-level change.

* Cultivate and steward relationships with institutional funders

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

* Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Macro Social Work (MSW), Public Health, Public Administration, or related field strongly preferred, with a macro practice orientation.

* 3-5 years of experience in grant writing, program development, preferably in behavioral health or community-based services.

* Demonstrated experience securing grants from foundations and corporations, and/or government and behavioral health-related grants (e.g., SAMHSA, state behavioral health authorities, local municipalities).

* Strong understanding of behavioral health systems, social determinants of health, and community-based interventions. Familiarity with trauma-informed care, health equity frameworks, and culturally responsive practice.

* Exceptional writing, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills and experience with grants management systems and outcome reporting tools.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

* Ability to communicate with staff and community members in person, verbally and in writing.

* Ability to work under deadlines.

* Ability to work at a computer/desk for a substantial portion of the day.

* Ability to handle general office equipment.

* Valid driver's license and access to a car for transportation
