Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Neurobiological Mechanisms of Aggression Lab, McLean Hospital
The Neurobiological Mechanisms of Aggression Laboratory at McLean Hospital is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our dynamic team studying the molecular and circuit mechanisms underlying aggression in Drosophila melanogaster. Our NIH-funded research program integrates cutting-edge genetic, behavioral, and imaging methodologies, including the fly connectome, targeted genetic perturbations, and automated behavioral analysis to uncover fundamental neurobiological principles governing social behavior. Additional Job Description EDUCATION: A PhD in neuroscience or a related field (or equivalent) EXPERIENCE: Prior lab experience required. Must have evidence of strong scientific productivity, including peer-reviewed publications. Open to highly motivated candidates with a relevant background. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Assistance in guiding research technicians and trainees in the lab is expected. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work will be performed in a fast-paced research laboratory environment, requiring teamwork, collaboration, and flexibility. Must be able to work independently.
