The Cancer Health Equity Fellow will conduct research on health disparities pertaining to cancer prevention, screening, access and care navigation. The fellow will contribute to understanding the root causes of health disparities and the impact of social determinants of health and environmental factors contributing to disparities in care, access, quality and outcomes.

Develop and Grow Your Career!

The research fellow works with the VP, Chief Diversity & Equity Officer. The fellow will collaborate closely with Health Equity, the Community Health Workers (CHWs), LIMR, the Oncology service line and other support staff, utilizing reports, dashboards and on-the-ground experience to expand our knowledge of what is causing disparities in cancer care and how to address them.

The fellow will identify opportunities to test and develop interventions to address disparities in health care. Research projects will demonstrate value-add to the health system in the form of cost avoidance for the health system and improved health for our patients and communities.

Jack Lynch Cancer Health Equity Research Fellow

Shift:

Full Time - Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • 3+ Years of healthcare caregiving experience required.
  • Research and grant writing experience preferred.
  • Interest in health equity or oncology care preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with interdisciplinary teams required.
  • Education:

  • Masters in Public Health, Data Science, healthcare-related or relevant field required.
  • Doctoral Degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent) in relevant field preferred.
  • Licensures/Certifications:

  • CITI training completed within 60 days of hire
  • Employee Status: Regular
