A Day in the Life of the Data Analyst:

The Data Analyst is responsible for translating complex data into actionable insights that support decision-making across Astound Broadband. This role bridges technical data expertise with strong business acumen, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end analysis, performance tracking, and executive-ready reporting. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large datasets, developing Tableau dashboards, and uncovering the "why" behind business performance while operating in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

  • Conduct advanced analysis on large and complex datasets to address business questions, performance trends, and operational challenges.

  • Extract meaningful insights from diverse data sources, focusing on both performance outcomes and root-cause drivers.

  • Identify, define, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across functional areas to assess business health.

  • Develop and enhance recurring and ad hoc reports to support leadership, operations, finance, and commercial teams.

  • Build, maintain, and optimize Tableau dashboards and visualizations to clearly communicate insights to stakeholders.

  • Develop automated analytical tools, including queries, dashboards, and presentation outputs, to support ongoing business monitoring and self-service analytics.

  • Partner with technical teams to troubleshoot data issues, validate logic, and support backend data pipelines as needed.

  • Business Partnership & Stakeholder Communication

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand business needs and deliver complete, end-to-end analytical solutions.

  • Present findings, recommendations, and performance updates to management and senior leadership in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.

  • Support business cases and evaluate the impact of operational initiatives, pricing changes, and strategic programs.

  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, including work with large datasets, KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting.

  • Experience with SQL and relational databases, including Oracle or similar enterprise data platforms.

  • Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing dashboards and reports in Tableau or similar data visualization tool.

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and analytical techniques used to validate, reconcile, and interpret data.

  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively present complex data and analytical findings to members of the leadership team.

  • Exposure to telecommunications, broadband, or subscription-based business models.

  • Understanding of how enterprise systems and data pipelines integrate to support reporting and analytics.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, finance, or a related field.

Base Compensation: The base compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 plus opportunities for benefits. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
